In a high scoring Vodacom Cup match played at the Puma Stadium in Witbank on Saturday, GWK Griquas achieved what they set out to do and that was to score full points against the Pumas, winning by only six points, 37-31.
Griquas scored their winning, fifth try, by flanker Rohan Kitshoff, with only four minutes left in the match to snatch victory.
A Vodacom Cup match, that produced no fewer than eight tries, in a very close tussle against the Pumas, halftime 16-11 to the home side. Pumas only scored three tries in the match.
The second half saw the men from Kimberley open the try flood gates, with Hannes Coetzee, Egon Seconds (two quick tries) and finally Kitshoff’s winning try, to seal the match and put Griquas in third position on the log.
