The 13 rugby players from GWK Griquas, that will be playing in the Royal XV against the British and Irish Lions in Rustenburg on Saturday are: Egon Seconds, Bjorn Basson, Naas Olivier, Sarel Pretorius, Jonathan Mokuena, Davon Raubenheimer, Jacques Lombaard, Bees Roux, Rayno Barnes, Albertus Buckle, Steph Roberts, Riaan Viljoen and  Hanno Coetzee. 11 of these players will be in the starting line-up, viz Egon Seconds,, Hanno Coetzee, Bjorn Basson, Naas Olivier, Sarel Ptetorius, Jonathan Mokuena, Davon Raubenheimer, Jacques Lombaard, Bees Roux, Rayno Barnes and Albertus Buckle. Add to this, Dawie Theron, Griquas coach, is also a coach of the Royal XV.
