GWK Griquas play a compulsory friendly against the Valke in Kempton Park on Friday, before the start of the 2009 Currie Cup, which kicks off on July 10. Due to injuries to two key players, ie, both locks, Jacques Lombaard and Cecil Kemp, coach, Dawie Theron, has had to borrow players from other unions. One of these is Nolan Clarke, a lock from Sharks, who will partner Brendon Snyman and who played against Griquas in the Vodacom Cup semi-final recently.
