GWK Griquas clash with Vodacom Western Province on Friday on a hard GWK Park in Kimberley, kick off at 3 pm. The visiting team’s captain, Luke Watson and his team realize that playing Griquas on their home turf is not an easy game. Griquas, on the other hand, are the in form combination and have won four out of four matches, missing out on a solitary bonus poit, while Western Province have won three of their four matches. “It is going to be the battle of the boot” said Griquas coach, Dawie Theron, while also mentioning a few Province players he is very wary about, Willem de Waal, Peter Grant, Luke Watson and All Black lock, Chris Jack, but his charges will be up to the challenge.

Another important match, after the Currie Cup clash between the above two teams, spectators will be treated to an internation match, involving the South African Schools under 18 team, entertaining England under 18, starting at 5 pm. Added to all of this, rugby matches will be played throughout the day starting at 10 am, which include under 19 smaller schools semi-finals, under 15 smaller schools semi-finals and under 19 and under 21, being played, u-19 vs Boland and u-21 vs Griffons. The day will end off with the two under 19 A and B teams from Northern Cape High entertaing their Sentraal High School counterparts from Bloemfontein.
