The defending  Vodacom Cup champions, 2009, GWK Griquas, continued their impressive run over the Griffons after defeating their opponents 59-31 at the North West Stadium in Welkom. However Griquas lost their opener at home to the Blue Bulls, 22-17, the previous week.

The Griffons, who have never defeated Griquas in the Vodacom Cup, conceded nine tries after Simon Westraadt, Albertus Buckle and former Vodacom WP winger Zhahier Ryland all scored a brace of five-pointers while Wesley Wilkins, Coenie van Wyk and Herman Pretorius added the other tries for the visitors.

GWK Griquas next fixture is against the Namibian Welwitschias, kick-off at 14:00 in Windhoek.
