Although Griquas will probably be playing one of their toughest games of the latter half of the Currie Cup, and their last in the 2008 Currie Cup season against the Sharks at home this Saturday in Durban at 15.00 (televised), they will still be going out with the will to win.
Never to be underestimated and finishing a less than easy season, Griquas have nothing to lose, other than their pride and would like to finish their 2008 Currie Cup with a flourish, and even an upset if at all possible.
Not known for giving up easily, coach, Dawie Theron has decided to field a side that has the will and the sheer cheek to give the Sharks a hard and telling game, barring some biased refereeing (which seems to doggedly follow them) and unnerve the opposition at home.
They will be going in to cause as much of an upset to the Sharks game-plan as possible and try to frustrate and deny the opposition of possession at every given opportunity. Hopefully this will pay off and give fans a game to remember.
Even with all the negative vibes going around all through all the sides as they approach the end of the 2008 Currie Cup with all the player scouts on the lookout for talent and touting for new talent, our players will be able to rise to the occasion and give their fans a game to remember.
Wildeklawer Griquas will not be getting a semi-final this year, but will at least try to end up in a very credible position on the logs if at all possible and will still try to prove that maybe they are down, but certainly not forgotten as an integral part of the Currie Cup competition, although a small union.
Let's look forward to Wildeklawer Griquas` final game in the 2008 Currie Cup this weekend and support them, and maybe, just maybe they can turn the whole competition on it's head with a win.
