During the recent Griqualand West Rugby Union’s Annual General Meeting held in the Markgraaf Hall, the new sponsor for Griqua rugby was announced. GWK, with its head office situated in Douglas will be the new sponsor, for both the Rugby Stadium, (ABSA Park), which is now known as GWK Park, as well as the Griqua Rugby team (known as Wildeklawer Griquas), new name will be GWK Griquas. The sponsorship amounts to R13.5 million over the next three years, R4.5 million per year.
