GWK Griquas, with some of the new players showing their mettle, did extremely well to beat the Eastern Province Mighty Elephants by 41 points to 13, halftime score 13-6, in their second pre season tour match, played in Port Elizabeth last night. Try scorers for the visitors were Herman Pretorius, Egon Seconds, Gavin Passens, Louwrence Lombard, Steph Roberts and Richard Lawson, four of which were converted by Naas Olivier. Herman Pretorius was successful with a penalty. Coach Dawie Theron was satisfied with his charges performance and was able to gauge the depth of the players, although playing three tough matches on the trot in a week, would actually be pretty hard on the body, but he was very pleased with the level of fitness of the guys.
