First Vodacom Cup match for GWK Griquas

Griquas take on the Valke in their first Vodacom Cup fixture for 2009 at AR Abass Stadium, kickoff at 4.30 pm. The Griqua team, with a number of new players, a new CEO in Laurie Lahoud and a new sponsor , GWK, will be looking, not only to lift the Vodacom Cup once again, but ending within the top five in the Currie Cup.

Although Griquas are tipped to beat Valke, it will not be that easy as Valke also have a number of new players in their side and their stregths and weaknesses are unknown at this stage. What favours Griquas coach, Dawie Theron at this stage is the depth his players have, as well as their confidence in wanting to win.
