Yesterday, Tuesday the 3rd March at a function held in the Sport Griekwas Clubhouse at GWK Park, over a rather pleasant steak lunch, Johan van Dyk, senior executive of GWK  (Griquas Rugby new sponsors) handed over the 2009 jersey with their logo to be worn during this year`s Vodacom Cup challenge to GWK Griquas Rugby Captain, Jonathan Mokuena'

In the evening at a gala event held at the Kimberley Airport, where over 300 guests, the Media, management and representatives of GWK, the GWRU management, coaches and players of Griquas Rugby mingled socially where they were given the chance to meet the players,  the new sponsors, GWK and the coaches and management of Griqua Rugby.

OFM`s Liesl Liebenberg, as Master of ceremonies welcomed, introduced and familiarised all present with past sponsors, Louis and Cora de Kock of Wildeklawer; the Management of GWK, their Chairman, Mr Klasie Jacobs; Griquas coach Dawie Theron, the Players (through a short video presentation) the President of GWRU, Mr Dawie Groenewald and   thanked Gilbert for sponsoring the new players` kit.  And through a video introduced the new Players Association that has been recently established to formalise the players interests and give them more job security.

The dinner was catered for by Adamantia School`s Catering and by students studying in their Cooking Academy.

The evening ended when the sweet course was served with the Master of ceremonies, OFM`s Liesl Liebenberg thanking all present on behalf of Griquas Rugby and their new sponsors, GWK.
